On 03 October 2015, on the occasion of the annual global campaign “Clean Up the World”, IDEA Public Union and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC held another cleanup action, which was carried out on the territory of the Buzovna beach. It should be noted that a research by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has revealed that the shore in Buzovna is the most polluted beach in Baku. For this reason, the cleanup action was held at that very location.

As part of IDEA’s educational programme, a scientific seminar titled “Environmental Management” with the participation of Elman Yusifov, a prominent expert on protection of biodiversity, was organized at the IDEA Resource Center for students of the faculties of Ecology and Soil Science, Biology and Geology of the Baku State University. In the course of the seminar, interesting facts related to various fields of environmental science were shared with the participants.

On 12 September 2015, in the framework of the project jointly carried out by IDEA Public Union and Sevimli Bala entitled “Ecological laboratory for children”, the 9th regular training session was held at the Resource Center located in the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The September session of the laboratory was dedicated to seasons of the year and trees.

On 15 August 2015, in the framework of the project jointly carried out by IDEA Public Union and “Sevimli Bala” entitled “Ecological laboratory for children”, a training session focusing on the topic of waste and recycling for children aged 6-12 was held at the Resource Center located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
