IDEA continues to recruit young people to join its Eco-scout program and engage in environmental activities. Another ‘meet and greet’ session with 30 new members of the club was held on 25th January at IDEA’s Resource Center located in Zire Cultural Center.

On December 23rd, a free yoga master class with Elchin Guliyev was organized at IDEA Animal Care Center. Our founder Leyla Aliyeva also participated in the event. During the event organized by IDEA Public Union and The School of Classical Yoga, guests enjoyed hatha yoga, learned about yoga and healthy eating, tasted vegetarian food, and paid a visit to the resident animals of the center. The master class and conversations were conducted by Elchin Guliyev, who has been practicing yoga since 2002, and holds an international yoga teacher diploma and the title of Yoga Shiromani.

Attaching special attention to protection of greeneries, healthy development of young generation and well-being of citizens IDEA Public Union, along with "Cavan" Youth Movement Public Union, has launched "Bizim həyət" (Our Yard) project, which aims to improve yards in Baku that need renovation.

On December 22, a New Year celebration for children was held at the Zira Cultural Center, organized jointly by the IDEA Public Union and the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event was attended by participants of the 4th Nationwide Forum of Azerbaijani Children, including children with special needs, those deprived of parental care, and children from refugee and internally displaced families, as well as children with disabilities.

The Eco-Scout project, initiated by the IDEA Public Union and generating significant interest among young people, continues successfully. On November 30, certificates were awarded at the IDEA Animal Care Center to eco-scouts who demonstrated exceptional activity and advanced to the next stage.
