On 9 September 2017, IDEA campaign, jointly with the Blue Marine Foundation - world-renowned organization in marine conservation and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Republic organized another cleanup action at the Kura river delta in Neftchala region.
10.09.2017The Eco-Scout project, initiated by the IDEA Public Union and generating significant interest among young people, continues successfully. A meeting with new members of the IDEA eco-scouts, whose number has reached 150 in a short period of time, was held at the IDEA Resource Center on July 26.
27.07.2017From July 19-21, the IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan office of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) held another ecological summer camp titled “Let’s Return Bison to Nature!” as part of the “Reintroduction of Bison in Azerbaijan” program. The camp took place with the participation of over 70 schoolchildren from the villages of Bunud, Vendam, Tuntul, Yengija, Nohurqishlag, Amirvan, Bilykh, Topbag, and Melikli in the Gabala region.
24.07.2017Over 70 school children from Bunud, Vandam, Tuntul, Yengija, Nohurgishlag, Amirvan, Bilikh, Topbagh and Malikli villigaes of Gabala region participated in IDEA’s 3-day summer camp that was dedicated to European bison for the first time in Azerbaijan. Supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan as well as the representative office of World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), the new camp was conducted as part of the developing bison reintroduction program and carried the slogan “Let’s bring bison back into our nature!”.
21.07.2017The camp aimed to spread environmental awareness among the school aged children, develop a sense of respect and caring for nature in them, inform the local youth about the rare leopard species inhabiting the area and promote the protection of the species.
17.07.2017During the session, children learned about the properties of water, its importance for Earth, the human body, and the overall ecosystem. The "Little Ecologists" also became acquainted with ways to conserve water, keep water bodies clean, and avoid pollution.
