From November 12 to 16, the international "Green Week" project will launch in Azerbaijan for the first time, organized by the IDEA campaign and UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme).

IDEA Campaign, in collaboration with Azerbaijan Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR) and PwC Russia, organised eco-panel discussions "Responsibility for clean future" in Moscow on October 13, 2012. The panel discussion was attended by some 70 students residing in Moscow and other cities of the Russian Federation.

IDEA Campaign and World Wild Fund (WWF) of Russia signed a cooperation agreement in Moscow on October 12, 2012. The agreement aims at restoration of the populations of leopards and bisons in the Caucasus and protection of the nature of the region. The cooperation agreement was signed by Mr. Igor Chestin, the director of WWF Russia and Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva, initiator of the IDEA Campaign.

In the city of Lankaran, the "Green Corps" summer school was organized with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and ASC “Təmiz Şəhər,” by the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) campaign, the "Debate in Civil Society" Public Union, and the OSCE Office in Baku.

Along with the large-scale projects within the country, IDEA campaign is active internationally and regularly takes part in environmental activities outside the country. The next step in the international activities of the campaign was the participation in the International Ecological Forum in Lithuania. On 27-28 September 2012, the Lithuanian town of Druskininkai hosted the annual environmental forum on "Waste Management".

Official opening ceremony of the "IDEA for Green Azerbaijan" project was held in front of the Maiden Tower (Baku) on September 24, 2012. The event was attended by some eighty young people, including IDEA Staff, volunteers of the "IDEA for Green Azerbaijan" project, representatives of the State Department of the Historical and Architectural Reserve of Icherisher and representatives of other civil society organizations.
