During the camp, trainings were given on diverse kind of environmental themes such as household waste and its management, advantages of recycling, eco-volunteerism, fundraising for implementation of ideas of youth and education opportunities in the US. In addition, trainings were held on dangers of plastic materials for the environment.

The camp, which will involve up to 30 youth, was organized with the support of IDEA campaign, Goychay Development Centre Public Union, Ireli Public Union, US Education Centre and SOCAR Ecology Department.

IDEA held nearly 10 international and over 50 local projects, such as the International Camp of Young Environmentalists, Green Week, Children Eyes on Earth, IDEA Birdhouses, IDEA for Green Azerbaijan, Green Graffiti, Eco-cinema, Green Conversation Club, idea for IDEA etc.

World Environment Day is celebrated annually to raise global awareness of the need to take environmental action. The event, which involved more than 25 students having interest in environmental protection and teachers dealing with this field, took place at the IDEA Resource Center and featured interesting discussions on environmental preservation.

It was emphasized in the event that, nowadays there are more than 15 million living species in the world and hundreds of them are destroyed every day. Humanity is damaged a lot due to these losses.
