Youth to Participate in Environmental Assessment of Liberated Areas

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and leader of the IDEA Public Union, a project titled "Youth Participation in the Environmental Assessment of Azerbaijan's Liberated Areas" is being launched.

The nationwide program will investigate the damage to nature caused by Armenia's 30-year occupation, study international experience in land restoration, and develop methodology and guidelines for assessing ecological damage.

Selected participants will attend training sessions to apply these methodologies and guidelines. The youth will become familiar with the actual environmental situation of the liberated areas and inform local and international communities about the instances of ecocide through various means.

As a result of this project, implemented by the IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, an environmental assessment of the liberated areas will be conducted with the participation of young people.

Young people with education and experience in the environmental field can apply to the IDEA Public Union to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
