Tree Seedlings Distributed at BRAVO Hypermarket as Part of the Green Marathon Project

Under the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, a new phase of the tree seedling distribution campaign has been launched as part of the “Republican Greenery Marathon” (“Green Marathon”).

On April 3, at the Bravo Hypermarket located near the “Əhmədli” metro station, with the support of IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the BRAVO supermarket chain, customers received tree seedlings as a gift. The campaign aims to engage the public in active participation in greening, promote environmental care, and support involvement in the planting process. The campaign is planned to last for 3 days, with the next phase taking place at the Bravo Hypermarket near the “20 January” metro station, where various types of fruit and evergreen tree seedlings will be distributed to visitors.

In addition to distributing seedlings, the event also included explanations on the proper planting, watering, and care of trees.

The event concluded with a tree planting action involving young volunteers.

The primary goal of the “Green Marathon” project is to increase green spaces, promote tree planting, protect the environment, enhance the biodiversity of our country’s flora, and contribute to raising awareness about the preservation of greenery. The project aims to plant around 1 million trees during the planting season and increase green areas.

Project partners urge everyone to take advantage of the spring planting season to benefit the environment, show special activity in protecting the planet, and actively join greening efforts.
