Tree Saplings Distributed to the Public as Part of the Green Marathon Project

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and leader of the IDEA Public Union, a campaign to distribute tree saplings to the public has begun as part of the "Republican Greening Marathon" ("Green Marathon").

On April 2nd, in a joint effort by the IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the BRAVO supermarket chain, tree saplings were gifted to shoppers visiting the BRAVO hypermarket located near the "Koroglu" metro station. The campaign, which aims to actively engage the public in the tree-planting movement, promote care for nature, and support participation in the planting process, is planned to continue for three days. The campaign, which garnered significant interest from shoppers, will also take place at Bravo hypermarkets located in the Ahmedli settlement and near the "20 January" metro station, where visitors will receive saplings of various fruit and evergreen trees.

In addition to distributing saplings, the event provided citizens with instructions on the proper planting, watering, and care of trees.

The event concluded with a tree-planting action involving young volunteers.

It is worth noting that the primary goal of the "Green Marathon" project is to increase green spaces, promote tree planting, contribute to environmental protection, enhance the biodiversity of our country's flora, and raise awareness about the preservation of greenery. The project aims to plant approximately one million trees during the planting season and increase green spaces.

The project partners call on everyone to make the most of the spring planting season for the sake of the environment, to show special activity in the protection of our planet, and to actively join the greening efforts.
