Tree-Planting Event Dedicated to the 95th Birthday of Heydar Aliyev Held in Garadagh District

On May 7, a tree-planting event was held in Garadagh District, Baku, to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people. The event was organized jointly by the IDEA Public Union and the Garadagh District Executive Authority.

During the event, which involved the participation of volunteers, 300 Eldar pines and numerous flower bushes were planted on an empty plot located on the 19th kilometer of the Salyan highway.

This initiative continues the tradition established by Heydar Aliyev concerning environmental protection in Azerbaijan. Consistent efforts are being made to improve the environment in the country, including expanding existing green areas.

It is noteworthy that under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Founder and Head of IDEA Public Union, numerous projects have been carried out to protect and expand greenery in Azerbaijan. With the support of IDEA volunteers, over 5 million trees have been planted, and hundreds of illegal tree-cutting attempts have been prevented.
