Tree Planting Actions Held in Baku as Part of the Green Marathon Project

Under the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, new tree planting actions were held as part of the “Republican Greenery Marathon” (“Green Marathon”).

On April 3, in the Garadagh District of Baku, and on April 4, in the Binagadi District, with the participation of local volunteers, 3,000 trees of various species suited to the soil and climate conditions of these areas were planted.

The project, organized jointly by IDEA Public Union and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, aims to increase green areas, promote tree planting, protect the environment, enhance the biodiversity of our country’s flora, and raise awareness about the preservation of green spaces.

IDEA Public Union places special importance on increasing green areas, which play an invaluable role in improving the overall ecological situation and minimizing the impacts of climate change. Together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, they continue large-scale tree planting efforts in other districts of the country.

Project partners, aiming to plant around 1 million trees during the spring and autumn planting seasons, urge everyone to support this beneficial initiative and unite for the green future of our nature.
