Tree Planting Actions as Part of the Green Marathon — Qaradağ and Astara Districts

Under the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, the next tree planting actions have taken place as part of the "Republican Greenery Marathon" ("Green Marathon").

On April 5, 1200 trees were planted in the Müşfiqabad settlement of Qaradağ District in Baku, and 1000 trees were planted in Astara District. The actions, involving local volunteers, focused on planting various types of trees suitable for the soil and climate conditions of the region.

The primary goal of the project, organized by IDEA Public Union and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, is to increase green areas, promote tree planting, protect the environment, enhance the biodiversity of our country’s flora, and contribute to raising awareness about the preservation of greenery.

IDEA Public Union, together with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, continues large-scale tree planting events in other districts of the country, emphasizing the importance of increasing green spaces, which plays an invaluable role in improving overall ecological conditions and minimizing the impacts of climate change.

Project partners urge everyone to make use of the spring and autumn planting seasons to support environmental initiatives and join efforts for the green future of our planet.
