Tree Planting Actions as Part of the Green Marathon — Balakan District

Under the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, large-scale tree planting actions continue successfully across the country as part of the "Republican Greenery Marathon" ("Green Marathon").

On April 6, 850 mulberry trees were planted in Balakan District with the participation of volunteers, in accordance with the soil and climate conditions of the region.

The primary goal of the project, organized by IDEA Public Union and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, is to increase green areas, promote tree planting, protect the environment, enhance the biodiversity of our country’s flora, and contribute to raising awareness about the preservation of greenery.

IDEA Public Union, with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, continues large-scale tree planting events in other districts of the country, emphasizing the importance of increasing green spaces, which plays an invaluable role in improving overall ecological conditions and minimizing the impacts of climate change.

Project partners urge everyone to make use of the spring and autumn planting seasons to support environmental initiatives and join efforts for the green future of our planet.
