The Second Let’s Protect Leopards Summer Camp has Finished Successfully

Within the framework of "Protection of the Caucasus Leopards" project the second summer camp for children “Let’s protect leopards” has finished successfully. The project has been initiated by IDEA Public Union and World Wild Fund (WWF) Azerbaijan Office by the support of Heydar Aliyev Center and Ministry of Education. More 30 school children from Masalli, Jalilabad and Yardimli regions took place in the camp held in Masalli.

During the second camp “Let’s protect leopards”, which took place on July 23-25, pupils participated at the trainings on protection of this rare animal, human and environment, and excursions to the areas where leopards habitat, and conducted junior ecological researches. At the end of the camp the participants were given certificates and memorable gifts.

It should also be highlighted that, the first “Let’s protect leopards” summer camp was organized in Masalli with the participation of more than 30 pupils from Lankaran, Astara and Lerik regions on July 9-11, 2014.

The purpose of both camps were to educate pupils in the environmental field, increase sense of love for nature, form and develop of an active civil position, enlighten them about importance of protection of these rare species which is living in nearby region.

The summer camps - “Let’s protect leopards” were implemented as continuation of Caucasus Cat Summit initiated by IDEA Public Union with support of Heydar Aliyev Fond and Heydar Aliyev Center.
