The Next Yard in Narimanov District was Put to Use by the Residents
Within the framework of the Our Yard project, initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, the next landscaped yard was made available to residents.
The renovated courtyard includes buildings with 1,100 residents at 5, 7/19 Ashiq Ali Street, 21 Izzeddin Hasanoglu Street, and 118, 120/23 Fatali Khan Khoyski Street, Narimanov District.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make Baku's courtyards ecologically clean and beautified, to restore greenery that is the pillar of urban ecology, to promote a healthy lifestyle, and to create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In this newly renovated yard, the needs of people with disabilities were taken into account, and various sports facilities, including football fields, chess areas, and playgrounds, were built to create favorable conditions for children of all age groups to develop, spend their free time effectively, and cultivate a habit of regular sports activities. In addition, four chat rooms were built, and seating and waste bins were installed throughout the new yard.
Taking into account the wishes and interests of the residents, new elevators, lighting poles, security cameras, and fire hydrants were installed in the courtyard. The facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings were completely renovated, and an electromagnetic card entry system was introduced for the blocks. In addition to restoring the existing greenery in the courtyard, 20 trees were planted, and a green strip was laid over an area of 1,500 square meters, while observing the rules of the special quarantine regime.
In the renovated yard, medical and preventive measures were carried out in accordance with the requirements of the quarantine period, disinfection dispensers were installed, and educational boards reminding residents of quarantine rules were put up.
The project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, residents are invited to submit information and recommendations about courtyards in the capital that need improvement to the IDEA.
