The Next Yard Opening Within the Framework of the Our Yard Project Took Place
The renovated yard includes five-story buildings housing over 750 residents at 146 a, 148 a, 150 a, and Najaf Narimanov 3, Azadlig avenues, in Baku city's Narimanov district.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to achieve ecologically clean and beautified yards across the country, restore greenery that forms the foundation of urban ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In the newly improved courtyard, considerations were made for the smooth movement of disabled individuals, along with the installation of equipment to support the development of children of various age groups and the establishment of playgrounds. Additionally, various sports facilities were installed to encourage effective use of leisure time and foster a habit of physical activity among youth. The area also features 6 chat rooms, numerous seats, bird nests, and cat houses.
New lighting poles and surveillance cameras were installed throughout the residential area, and the facades and blocks of buildings underwent complete renovation. Asphalt and roof coverings were renewed, old windows were replaced with new plastic ones, the electrical system was overhauled, and a parking lot was created.
In addition to restoring existing greenery in the yard, 388 trees of different species were planted, and a green strip covering an area of 2540 square meters was laid. Moreover, "green barriers" were established to combat air pollution by planting ivy and other creeping plants around the yard.
During the opening of the new yard, various tree species were planted with the participation of volunteers to draw public attention to the protection of green spaces, environmental conservation, and the enrichment of the atmosphere with oxygen.
The aforementioned project is set to be implemented across all districts of Baku. In this regard, we kindly request submission of information and recommendations regarding courtyards in our capital city that require improvement to the IDEA Public Union.
