The First Tree-planting Action of the Autumn Season of the Green Marathon was Held in Baku

The first tree planting for the fall season within Green Marathon campaign was held in Baku today, with the participation of IDEA founder Leyla Aliyeva, volunteers and representatives of the Swiss wildlife conservation organization Bioparc Genève. 300 olive and pine trees were planted during the event.

 

Last year, 1 million trees were planted across the country as part of the Green Marathon campaign. Alongside tree planting activities, this year IDEA and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources are working together to create green corridors and plant trees in areas with complex terrain.
