Our Yard - Samir Jafarov Street, Garachukhur Settlement, Surakhani District

Within the framework of the Our Yard project implemented by the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA Public Union, the next landscaped yard was made available to residents.

The renovated yard includes buildings No. 1-13, where more than 4000 residents live, located on Samir Jafarov Street, Garachukhur Settlement, Baku City, Surakhani District.

The main goal of the Our Yard project is to make Baku's yards ecologically clean and beautified, restore greenery that is the pillar of urban ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.

In the newly renovated courtyard, convenient access for disabled individuals was taken into account. Various sports facilities, chess fields, and playgrounds for children were created to foster favorable conditions for children of all ages, enabling them to spend their leisure time effectively and encouraging a routine of sports activities. A bicycle path has also been built. Within the new yard, 12 chat rooms, seating areas, and waste bins have been installed.

Considering the residents' preferences and interests, new elevators, lighting poles, and fire hydrants were installed, and the facades, roof coverings, and entrance areas of the buildings were completely renovated. In addition to restoring existing greenery within the yard, 30 trees were planted, and a green area covering 2500 square meters was established.

This project is planned to be implemented across all districts of Baku. Therefore, information and recommendations regarding courtyards in need of improvement in our capital are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Association.
