Our Yard Project - Yeni Yasamal 2 Residential Complex

On December 8, another renovated yard was handed over to the residents as part of the "Our Yard" project, initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union.

The renovated yard covers buildings housing 2,000 residents of the Yeni Yasamal 2 residential complex in the Yasamal district of Baku.

The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to make Baku's yards environmentally friendly and well-maintained, restore greenery which is the basis of urban ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.

In the newly renovated yard, comfortable movement for people with disabilities was taken into account. Favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups were created, with various sports grounds, a football and chess field, and a children's playground designed to encourage regular physical activity. A fountain was also built. Additionally, 3 gazebos, benches, trash bins, and bird nests were installed in the yard.

Considering the wishes and interests of the residents, new lighting poles were installed in the yard, new elevators were put in the buildings, and the facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings were completely renovated. In addition to restoring the existing greenery, 30 trees were planted in compliance with special quarantine regulations.

Medical and preventive measures were carried out in the renovated yard in accordance with quarantine period requirements: disinfectants were placed and information boards were installed to remind residents about quarantine rules.

The "Our Yard" project plans to cover all districts of Baku. In this regard, the IDEA Public Union requests information and recommendations on the yards in our capital that need improvement.
