Our Yard Project - Nizami District, Shirin Mirzayev and Kara Garayev Streets

As part of the "Our Yard" project initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA Public Union, another landscaped yard has been made available to residents.

The renovated yard serves approximately 2,200 residents living at 58, 58A Shirin Mirzayev Street and 33, 37 Kara Garayev Street in the Nizami district.

The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to create ecologically clean and aesthetically pleasing yards, restore greenery—an essential aspect of urban ecology—promote healthy lifestyles, and ensure safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.

In the newly renovated yard, accessibility for individuals with disabilities was prioritized. Various sports facilities, a football field, a chess area, and a children's playground were constructed to foster development among children of all age groups, encourage effective leisure time, and promote regular physical activity.

Additionally, five gathering spaces, seating areas, and waste bins were installed in the yard.

In response to residents' requests, new lighting poles and security cameras were installed, and the façades, roofing, and entrance areas of the buildings were completely renovated. Along with restoring the existing greenery, 30 trees were planted, and a green strip was established covering an area of 2,225 square meters, all while adhering to quarantine regulations.

During the renovation, medical and preventive measures were implemented in accordance with quarantine requirements, including the installation of disinfection dispensers and educational boards reminding residents to observe the quarantine rules.

The project is planned to be implemented across all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations regarding courtyards in our capital that require improvement are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
