Our Yard Project - Nizami District, Ali Valiyev Street 7, 7a
On February 2, as part of the "Our Yard" project, implemented at the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, another renovated yard was handed over for use by residents.
The renovated yard is located in the Nizami district of the capital, at 7, 7a Ali Valiyev Street, and encompasses buildings where approximately three thousand residents live.
The main goal of the "Our Yard" project is to create environmentally clean and well-maintained courtyards in Baku, restore greenery that forms the backbone of urban ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In the newly improved courtyard, the needs of people with disabilities and those with limited mobility have been taken into account. Favorable conditions have been created for the development of children of all age groups. To ensure effective leisure time for young people and to instill in them the habit of regular sports activities, various sports facilities, a football and chess field, and a children's playground have been installed. On the courtyard's territory, six gazebos have been built, and benches, trash bins, and birdhouses have been installed.
Taking into account the wishes and interests of residents, new lighting poles and security cameras have been installed in the yard, and the facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings have been completely repaired. In addition to restoring existing greenery, 200 trees have been planted on the yard's territory, following the rules of the special quarantine regime.
In the renovated courtyard, medical and preventive measures were implemented in accordance with the quarantine period requirements. Disinfection dispensers have been installed, and informational boards warning about compliance with the quarantine regime rules have been placed.
The implementation of this project is planned for all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about courtyards in our capital that need improvement are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Union.
