Our Yard Project - New Opening

The renovated yard includes multi-storey buildings with 600 residents at 84B and 84V, Mammadali Sharifli Street, Baku City, Nizami District.

The main goal of the "Our yard" project is ecologically clean and beautification of yards in the country, restoration of greenery that forms the pillar of urban ecology, formation of a healthy lifestyle, and creation of safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.

In the next courtyard, which was landscaped, the comfortable movement of disabled and disabled people was taken into account, and in order to create favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups, to effectively spend their free time and to create a reflex for them to engage in systematic sports, a mini football stadium with an artificial surface, various sports facilities, children's playgrounds have been built. At the same time, 5 chat rooms, numerous seats, litter boxes, bird nests and cat houses have been installed in the area.

Taking into account the wishes and interests of the residents, new lighting poles and surveillance cameras were installed in the courtyard, the facades and blocks of the buildings were completely repaired, the asphalt and roof covering were renewed, and the electrical system was rebuilt.

In addition to the restoration of the existing greenery in the courtyard, 1300 trees of different species, 4500 bushes were planted, and a green strip was laid on an area of ​​4000 square meters. In addition, "green barriers" against air pollution were created by planting 2,000 stone ivy and other creeping plants around the yard.

The resident of the yard, Honored teacher Gulzar Kalantarli, said that the yard was in a neglected state before the improvement. "And now, all conditions have been created for us to relax and spend our time effectively in our yard. Therefore, on behalf of all the residents of our yard, I express my gratitude to President Ilham Aliyeva, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva," said G. Kalantarli.

Another resident of the yard, Sima Yusifova, said that a neglected yard has turned into a true paradise: "Today, our joy has no limit. I thank everyone who worked for turning our neighborhood into a corner of heaven."

Within the framework of the "Our Yard" project, information and recommendations on the landscaping of common residential areas' yards are requested to be submitted to the IDEA Public Association.
