Our Yard Project — Narimanov, Atatürk Avenue 37-39

The Our Yard project, initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of IDEA Public Union, is successfully continuing its efforts to renovate neglected yards.

On December 28, the next renovated yard under the Our Yard project was handed over for use. The updated yard, located at Narimanov District, Atatürk Avenue 37, 37A, 39, serves residential buildings housing approximately 1500 people.

The main goal of the Our Yard project is to create environmentally clean and well-maintained yards, restore greenery, promote a healthy lifestyle, and provide safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.

The renovated yard, covering 1.3 ha, was designed with accessibility for people with disabilities in mind and includes children’s play elements, mini football and chess courts, and a 500 m² bicycle path. The primary aim of these facilities is to promote a healthy lifestyle among youth, improve health, make leisure time productive, and instill a routine of regular physical activity.

Considering the requests and interests of residents, the facades and entrance areas of the buildings were fully renovated. In addition to restoring existing greenery, 100 trees and shrubs were planted, and a green belt covering 3500 m² was created. Surveillance cameras were also installed to ensure the safety of residents.

The yard in Narimanov is the twelfth renovated yard under the project.

The project is planned to be implemented across all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about yards in need of improvement are requested to be submitted to IDEA Public Union.
