Our Yard Project - 71, 73 Gara Garayev Avenue, Nizami District
The next landscaped yard has been opened for residents as part of the Our Yard project, initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA Public Union.
The renovated yard includes buildings with 500 residents located at 71 and 73 Gara Garayev Avenue in the Nizami District of Baku.
The main goal of the Our Yard project is to make Baku's yards ecologically clean and attractive, restore greenery as a fundamental element of urban ecology, promote a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
In this newly renovated yard, accessibility for individuals with disabilities was prioritized. To foster the development of children of all age groups, encourage effective use of their free time, and instill a habit of regular sports activities, various sports facilities, football fields, chess areas, children's playgrounds, and a bicycle path have been constructed. Additionally, two chat rooms were built, and seating and waste bins were installed in the area.
Considering the residents' needs and interests, new lighting poles and fire hydrants were installed, the facades, roofs, and entrances of the buildings were completely repaired, and an electromagnetic card entry system was implemented for the blocks. Besides restoring the existing greenery in the yard, 45 trees were planted, and a green strip was created over an area of 800 square meters.
This project is planned to be implemented in all districts of Baku. In this regard, information and recommendations about the courtyards in our capital that require improvement are requested to be submitted to IDEA.
