Our Yard Project - Nizami District, R.Rustamov and G.Garayev Streets

Initiated by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA founder Leyla Aliyeva "Bizim həyət" (Our Yard) project successfully continues to improve and renovate old parks in Baku.

On 5 November 2019, another residential park unveiled within the project. Surrounded by four apartment buildings with 950 residents, the improved park is located at 35, 37, 39 R.Rustamov and 63 Gara Garayev avenue of Nizami district.

"Bizim həyət" project aims to upgrade residential parks that need restoration, increase areas of greeneries in the city, promote social fitness and create more comfortable living environments for residents.

With mini-football field, outdoor chess board, public workout facilities and children's playground, the new park provides comfort to everyone, including people with disabilities, and enables all ages, especially the young people, to engage in physical activity. Additionally, 8 gazebos, numerous benches and waste bins have also been placed in the park.

At the request of residents, new lighting was installed in the area, as well as buildings’ façades, roofs, entrance areas and front doors have all been renovated. Along with the restoration of the existing greenery, 50 new trees and flower plants were planted and 3000 square meter lawn was laid in the yard. Additionally, surveillance cameras and fire hydrants were installed to ensure safety of residents.

The project is planned to cover all districts of Baku. Suggestions and requests on the parks that need a renovation like this can be sent to IDEA.
