Leyla Aliyeva met with UN Goodwill Ambassador Vyacheslav Fetisov.

On June 17, a meeting was held between the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva, and the Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the legendary hockey player Vyacheslav Fetisov, who is visiting our country.

During the meeting, issues of environmental protection, climate change and sustainable development were discussed, as well as work and initiatives at the local and regional level, especially efforts aimed at protecting the biological resources of the Caspian Sea.

Leyla Aliyeva informed the UN representative about the achievements of IDEA in recent years, projects currently being implemented and plans for the future.

The parties also exchanged views on their activities as UN Goodwill Ambassadors on environmental issues and sustainable development and prospects for cooperation.
