Our Yard Project - Khatai District, 30 Nakhimov Road

Initiated by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA founder Leyla Aliyeva Our Yard project successfully continues to improve and renovate old yards in Baku.

The twenty second yard improved within Our Yard project opened at 30 Nakhimov road in Khatai district on 3 May 2019.

The aim of the project is to upgrade yards that need restoration, increase areas of greeneries in the city and create more comfortable living environments for residents.

Surrounding multi-story buildings with around 1500 residents, the yard features a new landscape design, mini-football field, chess board, 8 outdoor workout facilities, children's playground and 15 benches providing comfort to everyone, including people with disabilities. The outdoor sports equipment has been specifically placed to create social fitness experience for people of all ages enabling them to lead active lives.

At the request of residents, façades and entrance areas of the buildings have also been renovated. Along with the restoration of the existing greenery, 50 new trees and shrubs have been planted, as well 2,000 sq meter lawn has been laid in the yard.
