January Session of The Ecological Laboratory for Children Held

Within the framework of The Ecological Laboratory for Children project, on January 23rd, IDEA Public Union and "Sevimli Bala" held the first training session of the year at the Resource Center located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The January session focused on the polar circle and its nature and, accordingly, the young ecologists gained knowledge about snow and ice, including their characteristics and formation, as well as polar animals, geography of Antarctica and other topics.

During the session, children also participated in several lab experiments with dry ice, saltwater and freshwater, and created little “works of art” related to the relevant subject by using various materials.

Besides offering an interesting and fun day for kids, the January session of the Laboratory, has contributed to children’s understanding of the nature in the polar circle from an early age.

At the closing of the session, IDEA Public Union and “Sevimli Bala” presented memorial gifts to participants.
