IDEA to Hold International Environmental Camp in Gabala
The camp to be held as part of the International Dialogue for Environmental Action, IDEA, will wrap up on 26 November. The main objective of the campaign is to bring together young people and encourage them to live in harmony with the environment.
The event will be attended by Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, initiator of IDEA Leyla Aliyeva, Ecology and Natural Resources Minister of Azerbaijan Huseyn Bagirov, Youth and Sport Minister Azad Rahimov, SOCAR Vice President for Environment Rafiga Huseynzade, President and CEO of Earth Force Organization (USA) Lisa Bardwell and Director of EcoMuslim Organization (UK) Omar Faruk. They will address the opening ceremony of the event.
Over the next two days, the event participants will discuss the most pressing ecology issues in various panels, which will hear reports of representatives of international organizations, as well as Azerbaijani experts.
Advisor to Energy and Environment Department of UNDP in Azerbaijan Vugar Allahverdiyev, Executive Director of Earth Force Organization (USA) Lisa Bardwell, head of international cooperation department of "Club Kyoto" Pierrot Pelizaro (Italy), Head of Project Management and Public Relations Department at Clean City (Təmiz Şəhər) Oqtay Mammadov, Head of the National Service for Environmental Assessment in England and Wales Ross Marshall, Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations Ruslan Aliev and Co-founder and Director of "Project Millennium" Jerome Glenn will participate in panels.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation and United Nations Development Programme signed a Memorandum of Understanding entitled "Mobilizing the Azerbaijani youth” in Hilton Baku on 21 October to prepare for the upcoming Rio +20 conference in 2012.
November 2011 has been declared the month of ecology under the slogan "Let’s protect the environment" as part of IDEA.
