IDEA Resource Center Opens
The event brought together IDEA founder Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva, state and government officials, civil society organizations, students and journalists.
The center is aimed at hosting short and long term training courses, seminars, roundtables and lectures on environmental topics both for students and specialists in this field. During the opening ceremony it was mentioned that the center will be a useful place for students during their leisure time, as well as throughout the academic year. Well equipped resource center includes designated areas specifically for reading, researching and discussions, as well as for getting some rest.
Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva was informed that the resource center would subscribe to a number of international journals and bulletins in order to secure up-to-date information on environmental matters and make a difference though innovation, leadership and proactive actions. “Young people should be encouraged to learn the environment they live in from the very early ages. Moreover, it is of paramount importance to promote the significance of scientific researches, different training courses and awareness raising events to protect the environment surrounding us” told IDEA founder Mrs. Aliyeva, after getting acquainted with the resource center.
