IDEA Relaunches Its Internship Program

IDEA is pleased to announce the launch of the new season of its internship program, designed to provide young people with opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge gained in universities to practice, develop research skills, and become familiar with a professional work environment.

Participants in the program will work five days a week, four hours a day, taking part in the preparation of various ecological projects, conducting environmental events and actions, and performing various office tasks under the supervision of experienced mentors.

The internship program is open to young people who are:

  • Aged between 18 and 30;
  • Studying one of the following fields: ecology, biology, geography, sustainable development, journalism, public relations, international relations, translation (Azerbaijani-English; Russian-English);
  • Fluent in Azerbaijani;
  • Have an intermediate level of English proficiency (upper-intermediate level).

After the selection process is completed, the applicants who join the internship program will undergo a one-week training course. During this training, interns will receive detailed information about the campaign's structure, work system, and their responsibilities, as well as an explanation of the office's internal rules.

Interns will have the opportunity to gain experience in three main areas of activity. Young people studying environmental and other natural sciences will work on the development of ecological projects, the organization of environmental events, and more. Students in journalism, public relations, and international relations will focus on writing articles, preparing press releases, conducting official correspondence, etc. Those who have completed or are pursuing a degree in translation studies will be responsible for translating texts, press releases, articles, and more.

The program will commence on September 15 and will run for four months. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive relevant certificates.
