IDEA Presents its Care Center Project for Homeless Animals

On 8 may 2015, IDEA Public Union held a presentation of IDEA Animal Care Center currently under construction in the Garadagh district of Baku, which was attended by representatives of animal protection organizations and animal-lovers.

The foundation for the new animal care and rescue center was laid by the Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, head and founder of IDEA Leyla Aliyeva on 09 October 2014. The experience of leading countries was used and prominent foreign experts were involved in the planning and construction of the center.

Vaccination, sterilization and surgical operation of homeless animals as well as their rehoming will be carried out at the center, which will have state-of-the-art equipment and will meet international standards. Mobile emergency medical services for animals as well as their humane transportation to the center will also be ensured.

It was noted in the presentation that along with a modern veterinary clinic, the center will feature an extensive shelter space as well as a pet hotel, conference hall, adoption center, pet shop, grooming parlour and other facilities. The park and playground of the center will be open for people that would like to walk their animals.

IDEA Public Union informed the participants of the event about its intention to use the center jointly with the local animal protection organizations and offered them cooperation.

IDEA Animal Care Center will always be open for volunteers and animal-lovers that are willing to help the animals in need. This proposal by IDEA was highly appreciated by the participants of the presentation.
