IDEA Organized a Cleanup Campaign at Novkhani Beach

In connection with the opening of the beach season, on May 30, the IDEA Public Association, with the support of the executive power of the Binagadi region, held another traditional action to clean up the coast.

The action, organized on the Novkhani beach, was joined by the vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva and about 100 young volunteers.

The main goal of the event is to promote cleanliness on the seashores, prevent the clogging of coastal areas with household waste, and attract all young people to the fight for the protection of the marine environment.

It should be noted that a public beach was chosen for the action, seats and a bathroom were installed on the territory for people to relax in a comfortable, clean and safe place, a volleyball court was built, and garbage cans were installed.

The cleanup campaign, carried out under the slogan “Let the shores remain clean,” is the 11th campaign on the Caspian Sea coast with the massive participation of young people.

During the event, the participants of the action, equipped with the necessary plumbing equipment, collected about 2 tons of garbage from the beach to the sounds of music performed by DJs. The trash was then sorted and the most observed litter on the beaches was identified. To organize the waste collection process more efficiently, special equipment was brought to the site.

The IDEA Public Union, together with local and international partners, regularly organizes actions to clean the banks of the Caspian, Kura and other rivers in order to preserve, increase and protect the aquatic biological resources of Azerbaijan and the region. Before the start of the beach season, the IDEA public association has planned to hold another Saturday event dedicated to World Environment Day, with the participation of a large number of young people.

The IDEA Public Union calls on all nature lovers not to remain indifferent to actions organized in the direction of solving environmental problems, and to contribute to the protection of the environment!
