IDEA Calls on People to Protect Stray Animals
Each year, between 5 and 7 million animals are placed in shelters for homeless animals around the world. Yet, despite these efforts, 3 to 4 million stray dogs and cats are euthanized annually.
IDEA, which has made it a key goal to create a network of regional and international cooperation for environmental protection, calls on people to be more attentive to the conservation of animal and plant species worldwide.
The main aim of the Azerbaijan Animal Rescue Center, which has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2009, is to assist in this endeavor and carry out educational work. This animal clinic operates with the support of the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the initiator of the IDEA Campaign, Leyla Aliyeva. The modern equipment and professional staff make the clinic unique in the post-Soviet space.
