IDEA Announces International Photography Contest - Children's Eyes on Earth

Inspire younger generations to explore the notion that we are all born to dream, to achieve, to discover and to protect the earth for a better future!

The annual international Children and Youth Photo Contest and Festival shall raise awareness to important environmental issues through the eyes of children. It unites children and youth from around the world to promote public awareness and inspire adults to take action. Participants' challenge is to cultivate an environmental connection through imagery. It's a unique opportunity to explore photography as an artistic medium that addresses crucial issues, bringing them to families, professionals, decision-makers, and the international community at large.

The festival and traveling exhibition is an international event. They will be held in major metropolitan cities all over the world. Organizations, institutions and international media, will raise awareness on environmental issues worldwide.

Who can join?

Every child and teenager under 17 may submit their work to illustrate the theme "I Love Nature, I Fear Pollution".

Timeline

- The submissions deadline is September 5th, 2012.
- A panel of International Jury and Advisory Board members will be reviewing entries
- The Festival and Exhibition will begin the first week of October, 2012 in Baku.

Contest prizes

1st Prize: SLR Camera, a laptop computer, a photo printer
2nd Prize: SLR Camera, iPad, a photo printer
3rd Prize: SLR Camera and a photo printer

The three winners accompanied by a legal guardian will travel to Baku and participate in the Festival.
The three winners will have a one day workshop with Reza in Baku.
