IDEA and YARAT Contemporary Art Space Joint Project: 3D Graffiti
Through the joint initiative of the IDEA Public Union and the YARAT Contemporary Art Space, a 3D graffiti project has been realized in Dada Gorgud Park, one of the central parks in Baku.
The graffiti artwork created within the framework of the project aims to inform the public about environmental issues through art and draw people's attention to these problems.
Being the first of its kind in Azerbaijan, the ground graffiti artwork serves as a promotion of a new field of activity for young artists and features the "Big Five of the Caucasus," emphasizing the importance of their protection.
It is noteworthy that in 2012, under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, the "Big Five of the Caucasus" project was launched, aimed at protecting animal species residing in Azerbaijan and facing the threat of extinction. This "Big Five" includes the brown bear, imperial eagle, gray wolf, gazelle, and Caucasian leopard.
It should be noted that the artwork currently on display in Dada Gorgud Park was created in 3D format over five days by graffiti artists invited from England – Edward Cheiron, James Titchner, and Julian Featin. Alongside the works of foreign guests, the park also features pieces by Azerbaijani graffiti artists depicting the environmental issues of the Caspian Sea and the "No to Cutting Trees" program initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA Public Union.
You can closely explore the ground 3D graffiti artworks for six months.
