Green Marathon Tree Planting Campaigns - Khojasan Settlement

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Founder and Head of the IDEA Public Union, new tree planting campaigns have been held as part of the "Republican Green Marathon" ("Green Marathon").

On April 24, a tree planting event took place in the Khojasan settlement of Baku, organized jointly by the IDEA Public Union and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, with participation from the Ministry of Economy. During the event, which was joined by Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, 1,200 trees of various species were planted in accordance with the local soil and climate conditions along with volunteers.

The main goal of the "Green Marathon" project is to increase green spaces, promote tree planting, contribute to environmental protection, and raise awareness about the flora and biodiversity of our country, as well as the preservation of green areas.

IDEA Public Union, emphasizing the importance of increasing green spaces, which play an invaluable role in improving the overall ecological situation and minimizing the impacts of climate change, continues large-scale tree planting activities in other regions of the country in collaboration with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Project partners, aiming to plant around 1 million trees during the spring and autumn planting seasons, call on everyone to support this beneficial initiative and join efforts for the green future of our environment.
