Green Marathon — Shamkir, Goygol, and Agdash Districts

Under the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, the next tree planting actions have taken place as part of the "Republican Greenery Marathon" ("Green Marathon").

On April 7, 3300 trees were planted in Shamkir District, 3333 trees in Goygol District, and 250 trees in Agdash District, all suited to the soil and climate conditions of the regions, with the participation of volunteers.

The main goal of the project, organized by IDEA Public Union and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, is to increase green areas, promote tree planting, protect the environment, enhance the biodiversity of our country’s flora, and contribute to raising awareness about the preservation of greenery.

IDEA Public Union, with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, continues large-scale tree planting events in other districts of the country, emphasizing the importance of increasing green spaces, which plays an invaluable role in improving overall ecological conditions and minimizing the impacts of climate change.
