Book Titled Environmental Management Published under Editorship of IDEA Founder and Head Leyla Aliyeva

On 27 May 2015, IDEA held a presentation of its two-volume textbook “Environmental Management” published under the editorship of the Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva.

Besides being a useful study tool for students that study the environment, ecology and sustainable development, the book can be a significant handbook for people working in the aforementioned fields.

Along with being a handy resource on basics of ecology, the book “Environmental Management” covers such topics as biocenoses, eco-systems, cycle of matter, ecological factors, wildlife, global environmental problems, environment and human health, principles of environmental protection, legal framework for environmental protection, and contemporary strategy for relationship between people and nature.

Representatives of several state bodies and private companies, students and teachers from institutions of higher education as well as civil society members attended the presentation, which was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center.

Speakers of the event stressed the significance of the book on environmental management, which was published in the Azerbaijani language, in terms of informing people studying or working in the relevant fields about the leading global environmental practices.  

At the close of the event, copies of the “Environmental Management” textbook were presented to the participants.
