Another Meeting was Held within the Framework of the Green Conversation Club Project

The IDEA Public Union, which carries out large-scale projects to engage youth in environmental issues and their contribution to environmental protection, conducted the next meeting of the “Green Conversation Club” project.

The meeting took place on November 25 at the Resource Center of the IDEA Public Union, located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the participation of around 30 young people.

The topic of this club meeting was focused on wastefulness and excessive consumption. The youth then engaged in extensive discussions about the conservation of natural resources, recycling, and reuse, watched short videos on the topic, shared their impressions, and exchanged views on ways to address these ecological problems in daily life.

Representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan International School (TISA) attended as special guests, sharing their thoughts and experiences on the topic with the youth.

The IDEA Public Union launched the “Green Conversation Club” project in June 2012 with the aim of improving young ecologists' knowledge of environmental issues and their level of foreign language (English) skills. From the beginning, the Green Conversation Club has served as a comfortable learning environment for students and young professionals studying environmental protection and sustainable development to converse in English.
