Youth Engages in Environmental Assessment of Liberated Territories

30.03.2021

Under the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA Public Association, a project titled "Youth Participation in the Environmental Assessment of Azerbaijan's Liberated Territories" is launched.

Within this project, IDEA, in alignment with the national action plan, will conduct research on the damage inflicted on Azerbaijan's nature as a result of the 30-year Armenian occupation. International experience in land restoration will be studied, methodologies and rules for assessing ecological damage will be developed.

The youth selected to participate in the project will undergo training on the application of these methodologies and rules. They will familiarize themselves with the real ecological situation in the liberated territories and will inform both local and international communities about the facts of ecological damage.

As a result of the project, implemented with the participation of IDEA, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, the ecological condition of the liberated territories will be evaluated with the involvement of young people.

Young individuals with education and experience in environmental conservation can contact IDEA to seize this opportunity.

Candidates can provide necessary information about themselves until April 20, 2021. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in the project after passing an interview.
